湖北日报讯（记者农新瑜）“虎座鸟架鼓”用英语怎么说？“黄鹤一去不复返，白云千载空悠悠”怎么翻译成英文？……2月28日，在武汉举行的“荆楚文化的价值内涵解读与国际传播”研讨会上，为进一步规范荆楚文化外译用词，助力荆楚文化对外传播，由湖北省社会科学院与楚天都市报极目新闻联合发布的“荆楚文化外译词条”（首批关键词条15个）正式亮相。

据介绍，去年，“凤凰涅槃——荆楚文化的价值内涵解读与国际传播”获批湖北省文化事业经费项目，省社科院联合省博物馆、极目新闻等单位开展了相关工作。其中，在极目新闻上线中英双语栏目“问答荆楚文化”，并将其内容集结印制成《荆楚文化新知乎——专家微访谈》一书，以新颖生动、简短可读的形式，推介宣传荆楚文化，产生了热烈反响。由武汉理工大学外国语学院副院长但海剑教授领衔的翻译团队，担纲了具体翻译工作。在此过程中，翻译团队认真整理，仔细核对，并经专家认可，确定了首批“荆楚文化外译词条”15个，其中包括了最为常用的“楚辞”“惟楚有才”“高山流水”等。

“荆楚文化的翻译工作十分重要，也有不少挑战。目前不少公众场所使用的外译词句，仍存在一些不太规范的现象。”但海剑教授表示，楚文化是中国传统文化的优秀代表，对其翻译不仅是内容的表达，更是精神的体现。从翻译的原则、策略和翻译手段上，都必须要充分理解楚文化和体现楚文化，才能使楚文化得以有效传播，彰显楚文化的现代价值。

5.曾侯乙编钟

Chime-bells of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State

曾侯乙编钟的出土改写了世界音乐史，它是中国迄今发现数量最多、保存最好、音律最全、气势最宏伟的一套编钟，代表了中国先秦礼乐文明与青铜器铸造技术的最高成就。

The discovery of the Chime-bells of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State had rewritten the history of music in the world. The Chime-bells of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State is the best preserved, and the most magnificent set of chime-bells with the most bells and melodies found in China so far, representing the highest achievement of Chinese ritual music civilization and bronze casting technology in the Pre-Qin period.

6.筚路蓝缕，以启山林

Today, the idiom of Gao Shan Liu Shui(high mountainsand flowing water) is used to describe the friendship between bosom friends.

8.长江之滨，九省通衢

By the banks of Yangtze River lies a gateway to China's heartland.

武汉位于长江之滨，九省通衢之地，是我国最具发展潜力的中心城市之一。

9.闻听三国事，每欲到荆州

Once people would like to know the story of Three Kingdoms, Jingzhou would be the right place to visit.

每逢暑假，荆州、襄阳、鄂州等地就成了家长带娃出游的好地方，毕竟“闻听三国事，每欲到荆州”。

It is a good choice for parents to take children to Jingzhou, Xiangyang, Ezhou and other places on summer vacation. After all, “Once people would like to know the story of Three Kingdoms, Jingzhou would be the right place to visit.”

10.黄鹤一去不复返，白云千载空悠悠

The leaving yellow crane never returned here again, only white clouds floating for thousands of years aimlessly remain.

崔颢的名句“黄鹤一去不复返，白云千载空悠悠”增添了黄鹤楼丰富的文学底蕴。

The poem by Cui Hao “The leaving yellow crane never returned here again, only white clouds floating for thousands of years aimlessly remain” strengthens the yellow crane tower abundant literature aura.

11.虎座鸟架鼓

Drum with Phoenix Rack on Tiger-shaped Pedestal

虎座鸟架鼓多出土于湖北江陵一带的战国楚墓，为楚国贵族墓葬中的重要乐器。

As an important musical instrument, Drum with Phoenix Rack on Tiger-shaped Pedestal was mostly excavated from tombs of Chu aristocrats during the Warring State period around Jiangling of Hubei Province.

12.楚凤

Phoenix in Chu culture

楚凤形象自由奔放、英武神异，充分展现了楚文化的独特魅力。

Phoenix in Chu culture was energetic and unconstrained, valiant and mystical, fully showing the unique charm of Chu culture.

13. 一鸣惊人

楚庄王心领神会，答道：“三年不飞，飞将冲天；三年不鸣，一鸣惊人！”

The King Zhuang of Chu understood his connotation and replied, “This bird, once it flies after a long time, would soar high into the sky; once it screams after a long time, it would startle the world with a single scream.”

14. 郧县人

Yunxian people

除了郧县人，湖北其他古人类化石出土也很丰富，堪称远古人类之乡，

15. 黄鹤楼
